What is the Venice Art Crawl?

The Venice Art Crawl is a Venice Chamber of Commerce sponsored event by and for the people. Our goal is to share, inspire and promote collaboration within the Venice community through mixers and art events. Join us by attending, sharing your vision and what inspires you. Our goal is to foster and reinvigorate the creativity that has historically and currently makes Venice such a vibrant and dynamic community.

When is the VAC?

The VAC happens quarterly on third Thursday.  SAVE THE DATES!!! The Venice Art Crawl is now 4 times a year. March 20 -June 19- Sept. 18 – Dec 18, 2014. It starts at 6PM and officially ends at 10PM but many venues are open later.

What is Venice Art Crawl pop up gallery?

Any restaurant, retail store, hotel,  art gallery, or homeowner can host a pop up gallery.   Be creative!  Art can be everywhere.  For example: Outdoor patios, garages, a hotel lobby or room, a front yard, a wall in a restaurant, etc…. can all be pop up galleries. 

How do I show my work in the Venice Art Crawl?

1.  Attend a VAC monthly mixer.  Mixers are a great way to connect with other artists, and or find a location to showcase your art. Dates for our monthly mixers will be posted on the official VAC facebook page and  on the VAC website.

2.  Take the initiative and create your own show.  Find a location in Venice where you want to showcase your art, speak to the owner, then submit your event flyer and details on the VAC website.

3.  Submit your event!   We are now accepting March 20th, 2014 Venice Art Crawl event submissions.  To ensure your event gets listed on the official VAC map, and on our events page on the VAC website, please follow the two steps.  Thank you.

What is a VAC mixer?

Mixers are a great way to connect with other artists, and or find a location to showcase your art.  Dates for our monthly mixers will be posted on the official VAC facebook page and the VAC website.

Does it cost money to do the art crawl?

Every venue (pop up gallery) is different!   Communicate with the venue’s owner or curator.

How long can I show my art at the pop up gallery?

Every venue (pop up gallery) is different!   Communicate with the venue’s owner or curator.

Can I curate my own events?

Yes you can.  The VAC can help you find a location for your event.  If you have a location in mind, please contact the building owner directly.  Once you have your event, please submit your event via our website.

How do I get on the official VAC map?

To ensure your event gets listed on the official VAC map, and on our events page on the VeniceArtCrawl.com website, please submit your event on the website.

How do I best promote my event?

Event organizers and the artists themselves are responsible for promoting their event. VAC will also help promote your event via the VAC website, facebook, PR, newsletter, and twitter.

How do I get on the VAC Facebook page? 

Simply post your event details and flyer on the official VAC facebook fanpage. www.facebook.com/TheVeniceArtCrawl

How do I get twitter to mention my event?

Simply hashtag #VeniceArtCrawl
