Daniel Samakow

Daniel Samakow

Daniel is one of the founders of VAC and a well-known restaurateur who owns three beloved Venice-based eatires James’ Beach, Canal Club, and Danny’s  Venice. A native of Pittsburgh and graduate of California Institute of the Arts, Samakow has a special fondness for palm trees, big skies and warm afternoons.

Sunny Bak – President

Native New Yorker accomplished photographer Sunny Bak has been a Venice resident since 1992. Sunny has been an active member of VAC through participation, showing, curating and outreach. She has a passion for nurturing new artists and promoting her community. Sunny has photographed everyone from the Beastie Boys, Madonna to the cover of Newsweek.

Mike Newhouse

Mike Newhouse

Mike is one of the founders of the Venice Art Crawl.  He is the principal of Newhouse Law Group PC, a full-service law firm in Los Angeles, CA.  Mike is also the President Emeritus of the Venice Neighborhood Council.  Mike lives in Venice with his wife Ruthie, sons Holden and Dylan, and dog Bianca. He is an active traveler, athlete, and outdoor enthusiast.

Lisa Ramsay is the Owner of FromH3, LLC, a project-based company that provides unique business services and personal projects in production, photography, catering, event planning, and concierge services, with over 10 years in the service industry. Lisa has a effervescent personality and strives for excellence capturing her clients needs and visions.

David J Stine

David J. Stine

Photographer, creative director and designer David J. Stine has been perfecting his craft and honing his eye for over 20 years. A native of Los Angeles, his experience, training and talent has created a fusion of Left Coast artistic sensibility used in projects ranging from fine art photography to commercial packaging and web design.

One of the founders of the Venice Art Crawl. Edizen is also the co-owner of Venice Paparazzi and Kettlebell Boxing.Co-founder of the Venice Art Crawl.  Event photographer specializing in event coverage, custom backdrop photo parties with fun props, on the spot printing and more.  Over 1000 events covered since 2005. Mother to Smithers, the bean dog, and wife of 12 years to Mr. Alex Stowell.
