“Say it with flowers in the form of a skateboard. Artist and designer Didi Dunphy, who once called Venice home, takes inspiration from the town’s vibrant, bohemian beach lifestyle. Her Modern Convenience Recess Play furniture and accessories line includes an upholstered seesaw bench, oversized indoor swings and multi-use skateboards. In full bloom, these wooden skateboards with bright wheels and hand-applied vinyl graphics are her latest designs.

Words borrowed from from the LA Times.

Hey Crawlers, you can buy Didi Dunphy Zinnia Skate and Bachelor Button skateboards and support her!

Skateboards are, 7 1/2 inches wide and 33 inches long, $225 each, plus $45 for second-day delivery at dididunphy.bigcartel.com)”

Steve Christensen’s photography is reminiscent of a modern David Scott.   Like Scott, Christensen gravitates towards candidly capturing Venice Beach surfers, sunsets, ocean views, the pier, the mystery of Venice canals and also the daily lives of the people of Venice.

With a serious affection for surf culture, Steve embraces the California lifestyle and truly encompasses a love for the city that he is from— Venice Beach.

Check out some of his amazing photography and follow his journey on tumblr too!
